Through my community involvement over the years, I understand the importance of strong community ties in supporting our schools.
Strengthening our Schools
I have been an active member of parent advisory committees at area schools. I have had the good fortune of coming into contact with very dedicated teachers, support staff, and administration at LRSD schools and I have seen the impact they have had on students. I will work hard to advocate for Arts programming, school athletics programs, and other extracurricular activities because these pursuits help contribute to our kids becoming happy, well-rounded people.
Committed to Coaching
For the past 11 years, I have worked with kids as a baseball or hockey coach in our community with the St. Boniface Seals and/or Bonivital Baseball. I believe strongly in the good things sports can teach including resilience, positive communication, dedication to a common goal, contributing skills as a teammate, and the value of sportsmanship. Those lessons are important in athletics, in school, and in life.
